Our Micro Climate

Northwestern Leadership Institute is about 4 miles east and about 1,000 feet above Moyie. We have a south facing ridge about 3,000 feet above us and we enjoy the reflects warmth of the sun it casts on us, we also have a bit of a lake effect from Perkins Lake, and the effects of being in this gorge we have our own micro climate. It will be interesting to have the students collecting long term climate data.
