Wilderness Instructor Certifications
If you want to be a part of our staff in our wilderness program we have a program to get you certified. We offer week-long instructors’ courses before each workshop we offer. During that week you will learn the best practices in brain development and coaching as well as getting signed off on each skill you can demonstrate mastery of, practice with coaching these skills that you don’t quite have mastery of, and learn new skills. At the end of the week, you will assist in mentoring the skills you just demonstrated mastery of to the students in the two-day workshop.
You will work at your own pace if during your training and if you demonstrate mastery quickly you can work ahead on skills for sequential classes.
Once you are certified to teach the seven workshops of the Essentials Of Survival block you can pursue any of our advanced wilderness blocks.
Integrated Homesteading Certifications
We have the same format for getting you certified to teach our Integrated Homesteading programs.
